AFT Webinar – August 2026 (My Client has MS – What Do I Need to Know?)

Join us for a live webinar bringing together clinical expertise and lived experience to answer those questions with confidence. Led by Rhiannon Ferguson-Thomas, MS Specialist Physiotherapist and author of AFT’s Becoming an MS Pro course, this session breaks down the different types of MS, the key symptoms that affect exercise prescription, red flags to watch for, and evidence-based approaches to programming and progression.

About our Guests
Rhiannon Ferguson-Thomas is an MS Specialist Physiotherapist and the author of AFT’s Becoming an MS Pro course. She brings clinical depth to the practical questions fitness professionals face every day, covering the different types of MS, the symptoms that most affect exercise prescription (fatigue, heat sensitivity, balance, and spasticity), and how to programme and progress training safely. Her focus is on giving trainers the confidence to know when to push, when to hold back, and when to refer on.
Megan Boxall was diagnosed with MS in 2024 and is the fastest woman to run the entire coastline of Great Britain, completing 200 marathons in 204 days. She shares what it’s like to train and recover with a neurological condition at that scale, and what she wishes every fitness professional understood about working with clients living with MS. Her story offers real-world inspiration for what’s possible with the right support.
