AFT Webinar – January 2026

Join us for an essential webinar on understanding and managing phantom limb pain and residual limb pain, critical knowledge for any fitness professional working with clients who have experienced amputation. This interactive session moves beyond basic awareness to deliver practical, evidence-based strategies you can apply immediately in your practice. You’ll explore the fundamental mechanisms behind post-amputation pain, master diagnostic tools like neural length testing and palpation techniques, and learn desensitization approaches including myofascial release, neural gliders, and mindfulness techniques. With real-time demonstrations, including an interactive slump test, and comprehensive coverage of everything from neural physiology to psychosocial factors, you’ll gain the confidence to provide compassionate, effective pain rehabilitation that acknowledges your clients’ experiences while empowering their recovery journey.
We’re honoured to welcome Holly King, a Chartered Physiotherapist whose two-decade career in complex trauma and amputee rehabilitation has positioned her as a leading voice in phantom limb pain management. Holly’s distinguished military background, working at Headley Court and the Commando Training Centre Royal Marines. gave her unparalleled experience with catastrophic injuries, which she’s translated into published academic research, conference presentations, and most recently, landmark guidance on protecting claimants in injury litigation. Beyond her clinical expertise, Holly founded the charity Stride Forward, recognizing that life-changing injuries profoundly impact identity and social connection. Her approach perfectly embodies AFT’s values: evidence-based practice delivered with genuine compassion, always focused on transforming lives through purposeful, inclusive rehabilitation that sees the whole person beyond their physical challenges.
