This training course takes place over two evenings and you must attend both sessions.

Parkinson’s is the fastest growing neurological condition in the World with more than 146,000 people diagnosed in the UK.

Exercise is currently the only disease modifying treatment for this population. Medication will mask symptoms but will not slow progression, EXERCISE WILL!

You play an important role in ensuring adequate exercise provision for people with Parkinson’s.

By becoming a Parkinson’s Pro you will unlock the skills to effectively support individuals with Parkinson’s through exercise. Our 6 hour live, online course equips exercise and healthcare professionals with the knowledge and tools to deliver Parkinson’s-specific exercise, grounded in the latest scientific and medical guidelines. You’ll learn the recommended exercise doses, key elements that tailor exercises to Parkinson’s, and practical tips for leading group or one-on-one sessions. Whether you’re working with beginners or experienced clients, this course will empower you to make a meaningful impact on their symptoms and disease progression.

Course Prerequisites

This course is designed for exercise professionals with existing qualifications in long-term conditions (Level 3 Exercise Referral or equivalent) and registered healthcare professionals* to build on their individual areas of expertise/coaching and apply the principles of Parkinson’s specific exercise to their methods.
